DEALING ROOM OPERATIONS

 The Dealing Room at SBI OBU Bahrain is one of the most active dealing rooms of State Bank of India which is fully equipped with state of the art tools like Reuters, Bloomberg, and EBS along with other tools of communication. It operates for more than 12 hours a day (opens at 6.15 A.M.) & is the only dealing room of SBI which remains open on all days of the week. The dealing room opens early in the morning to take advantage of the location of Bahrain in the convenient time zone. By starting operations at 6.30 A.M. (0330 GMT) we cover  Far East ,Indian ,Middle East & European market & remain active until 7.00 P.M. (1600 GMT) to watch currency movements in New York market and to receive overnight orders from Banks in India.

 Dealing Room operations at SBI Bahrain consists of the following: 

• Money Market Operations (overnight & term)

• Derivative Products ( for Banks & Corporates)

• Jobbing & trading activity in all currencies

• INR sale to Exchange Houses & other Banks

• Accepting daylight/overnight orders from Banks

• Daily Broadcast on Reuters Dealing System covering major events & economic data & trade recommendations on Major currencies
